We're looking for a detail-oriented Temp-to-Hire Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. Stable, growing organization Collaborative and supportive accounting team Exposure to multiple areas of accounting and operations Opportunity to take ownership of the AP function Career growth and professional development opportunities Job Details What You'll Do Process, code, and enter vendor invoices accurately and efficiently Perform 2-way and 3-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documentation Review invoices for proper approvals, coding, and supporting documentation Prepare and process vendor payments, including ACH and checks Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies Maintain accurate vendor records and assist with new vendor setup Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve invoice and payment issues Monitor AP aging and ensure invoices are paid according to established terms Support month-end close, including reconciliations and accruals Partner with purchasing, operations, and accounting teams to resolve discrepancies Maintain organized AP documentation for audit and internal control purposes Assist with process improvements and additional accounting projects as needed What We're Looking For 2+ years of accounts payable or related accounting experience Experience with high-volume invoice processing Strong understanding of purchase orders and 3-way matching Experience reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems Experience within manufacturing, distribution, industrial products, or an inventory-based business is a plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Strong communication and problem-solving skills Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is a plus Interested in hearing more?
