Real Estate Accountant Location: New York, NY 10104 Pay Rate: $45-$50 per hour Summary Join a professional team in New York City as a Real Estate Accountant, where you"ll apply your accounting expertise to financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Job Duties & Responsibilities Prepare and analyze financial statements, accounting records, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards. Develop and monitor budgets, analyze variances, and report actual costs against budgeted expenses. Maintain and improve accounting systems, procedures, and financial recordkeeping processes. Analyze financial trends, project revenues and expenses, and support tax reporting and compliance activities. Required Skills & Experience Bachelor"s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. 5-7 years of financial or accounting experience. Strong analytical, mathematical, written communication, and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and accounting software; knowledge of applicable accounting policies, procedures, and regulations. Preferred Skills & Experience Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or another related financial discipline. Experience with real estate accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
