Construction Accounting (Foundation Software) Consultant

Vaco has partnered with a growing private equity-backed company undergoing a multi-entity consolidation in search of an experienced Foundation Power User Consultant to support a newly formed accounting team. This role will provide hands‑on system expertise and process leadership as the organization integrates several recent acquisitions. The ideal candidate will be a true Foundation subject matter expert with the ability to design future‑state processes and drive real cleanup in a fast‑moving environment.

Job Title: Interim Foundation Power User Consultant
Location: Remote (onsite travel required Week 1 - California)
Pay Rate: $50 - $80 per hour DOE
Project Duration: 3-6 months
Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities

• Serve as the hands‑on Foundation SME for a newly onboarded CFO and Controller
• Lead cleanup of the existing AR process and establish best practices across the cash application, disbursements, and reporting
• Assess and improve integrations between Foundation, ServiceTitan, and Stuut (cash application system)
• Design and document future‑state workflows across accounting and operations

Qualifications

• Advanced, hands‑on expertise with Foundation software required
• Experience integrating Foundation with other platforms; ServiceTitan experience is strongly preferred
• Background in construction, field services, or PE‑backed environments a plus
• Ability to assess existing processes, identify gaps, and build scalable solutions
