PATHS Therapeutic After School Program Fall 2026, Mt. Hope Family Center. This program is a clinical intervention designed to build social skills and emotion identity and development with children ages 6-11 from the city of Rochester, some of whom have histories of complex trauma and/or behavioral challenges. Counselors work directly with the children developing and implementing the Promoting Alternative THinking Strategies (PATHS) skills curriculum and problem solving any needs that may arise.
Training is required for program participation and will be held on: Wednesday 9/2, Wednesday 9/9, Monday 9/14, Wednesday 9/16, Thursday 9/17. All training days run 3:30pm-8:00pm. Program will run on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning on 9/21/ /9/2026. The children are present for program from 4:15pm to 6:15pm. Staff are required for this time with additional time commitments before and after scheduled program times (sometimes as early as 2:30pm and as late as 7:30pm). Program staff must have flexibility within these time frames. Counselors must be able to commit to ALL days of training and program without exception. Program staff must have flexibility within these time frames. There may also be some remote work required to complete lesson plans on non-program days.
