The Role:
We are actively looking for a full-time Full Stack Developer. Please note that this is a full-time, in-person role based in New York, NY. If you are interested in remote or hybrid opportunities, this position may not be suitable for you.
What You'll Do:
- This engineering manager will be hands on, and will both code as well as manage other engineers.
- You will report directly and work in tandem with the CEO, and work closely with the rest of the engineering team, product management, and executive leadership to ensure a high-quality experience for users.
- Scale the team from a team of 5 to a team of 10+ full-stack engineers.
- Fine-tune the performance of our telemedicine platform, conducting optimizations and enhancements that elevate the quality of care and user satisfaction.
- Lead architectural discussions and decisions related to telemedicine platform development.
- Cultivate a virtuoso team of engineers, conducting mentorship programs and career development initiatives that empower them to reach new heights of excellence.
- Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in telemedicine to ensure the company remains competitive.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
- Partner with cross-functional teams such as product management, design, and QA to deliver high-quality telemedicine solutions.
- Conduct regular code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.
- Identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities and implement measures to mitigate them.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working at an early stage startup, preferably in the healthcare space.
- Strong proficiency in software development, with experience in relevant programming languages such as Typescript, Javascript, and React.
- Experience using Supabase preferred, but not required.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in a technical role, with the ability to inspire and motivate engineering teams. Those with the capacity to serve as a player/coach are preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify and address technical challenges and performance bottlenecks in telemedicine platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced startup environment.
