Through successful, full-service concrete construction projects across the United States, we have become the nation’s leading turnkey, design-build concrete contractor because we do more before we ever pour.

WHO YOU ARE:

CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Executive Field Leadership Role | Self-Perform Concrete | Large Campus Projects

Executive-level on-site leader for major self-perform concrete contracts valued from $20M to $250M+, with full decision-making authority and accountability for financial performance, schedule execution, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

COMPENSATION AND TRAVEL PACKAGE

This role offers a highly competitive executive-level compensation package designed to attract and retain experienced concrete construction leaders who can successfully lead major remote assignments.

Package is intended to offset lodging, meals, transportation, and weekly travel demands.

Compensation structure is designed to make the role attractive for senior leaders who must maintain a strong field presence while returning home each weekend.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Concrete Construction Program Director serves as the senior on-site executive responsible for the overall leadership and success of large, complex, multi-building campus projects performed by self-perform concrete teams. This role is designed for an experienced concrete construction leader with 15+ years of industry experience who can operate with broad authority, make real-time executive decisions, and lead both project and field teams through demanding, high-value assignments.

This position is expected to function as the top operational leader on site for the concrete scope, ensuring that every phase of work is executed safely, profitably, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. The Program Director is also responsible for maintaining strong customer relationships, supporting future work awards, and representing the company with credibility and leadership throughout the life of the project.

PROJECT SCOPE

  • Large campus and multi-building developments with self-perform concrete contract values typically ranging from $20M to $250M+
  • Long-duration assignments that may extend from approximately 8 months to 2-3 years or longer based on project duration and continued work awards
  • Executive oversight of multiple work fronts, phased schedules, and expanding project opportunities within a single campus environment

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the overall on-site executive with full decision-making authority for assigned concrete construction programs
  • Lead the complete execution strategy for self-perform concrete operations, from preconstruction handoff through final closeout and follow-on phases
  • Own overall project success across financial performance, schedule attainment, safety results, quality execution, and customer satisfaction
  • Direct and align project management, field leadership, project controls, and support staff to achieve operational goals
  • Provide executive oversight of budgeting, forecasting, cost control, productivity, billing, change management, and margin protection
  • Lead project planning and execution across multiple buildings, overlapping phases, and complex sequencing requirements
  • Serve as the senior client-facing representative on site, building trust and helping position the company for additional work opportunities
  • Make timely executive decisions related to manpower, means and methods, logistics, risk mitigation, and issue resolution
  • Establish a culture of accountability, urgency, safety leadership, and quality excellence throughout the project team
  • Collaborate with company leadership on staffing strategy, succession planning, and long-range deployment planning for major project assignments

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 15+ years of concrete construction experience, with a strong background in self-perform operations and large-scale project execution
  • Proven success leading major concrete contracts and complex programs in the $20M+ range, with preference for campus, industrial, data center, healthcare, manufacturing, or similarly demanding environments
  • Demonstrated executive-level leadership in field-based roles with full accountability for business outcomes
  • Deep understanding of concrete means and methods, productivity management, risk control, and financial performance
  • Strong command of budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting, contract administration, and operational planning
  • Ability to lead large teams and coordinate effectively across project management, field operations, customers, and trade partners
  • Excellent communication, leadership presence, and customer relationship skills

TRAVEL AND ON-SITE EXPECTATIONS

  • This is a travel-based role supporting out-of-town campus projects
  • Jobsite presence is expected Tuesday through Thursday each week
  • Monday and Friday are designated travel days
