STEAM Activities Teacher

Job Description: CREA Interactivity is an interactive playspace where children participate in immersive physically active adventures with themes about protecting the environment. Children also participate in STEAM-inspired educational research and creative arts, crafts and science projects. They learn about different environmental challenges to understand causes and find solutions to care for the planet. STEAM learning is incorporated into game design as children collaborate with the CREA design team to make new adventures.
We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced instructors to teach children ages 4-12 in STEAM-based learning activities with a strong focus on environmental themes.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise hands-on projects in our STEAM Discovery Lab in collaboration with professional game designers, coders, and animators.
Work with the CREA team to develop curriculum that inspires children to explore global environmental challenges.
Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all participants.
Guide children through the 60-minute CREA Adventure, ensuring a fun and impactful experience.
Support students in making positive choices, practicing self-regulation, and fostering curiosity and collaboration.

Requirements

Previous experience working with elementary-aged children.
Strong background in teaching and a genuine passion for working with young learners.
Ability to confidently lead lessons and manage groups of mixed ages.
Comfortable collaborating with a team of instructors to deliver lab-based activities.
Skilled in using positive and creative strategies to keep children engaged and maintain a well-structured environment.
Commitment to fostering mutual respect, accountability, and a love of learning.

Compensation: Hourly wage: $18.00-$25.00, plus gratuity, opportunities for increased pay and advancement.
