Job Description: Our center is looking for a Dependable, Caring, Patient and Devoted Lead Teacher for our fun classrooms! This time in a child's life is very important and they need consistency, love, support and positive guidance to build their social, cognitive, physical and language skills.

Teaching in an early childhood environment is great for people who love being around children and who have a passion for early childhood education. Job Responsibilities

Prepare lessons that meet educational requirements in an age-appropriate manner, and teach in a manner that meets the needs for the ages and abilities of all participating students.
Manage a busy classroom environment, and provide the structure and discipline required for successful learning for everyone in the classroom.
Help children meet educational goals and developmental milestones through personalized instruction and other supplementary assistance.
Collaborate with parents, other teachers, and staff members to create an optimal learning and care environment.
Provide helpful feedback to parents and guardians on a regular or as-needed basis.
Work with diverse populations of children and adults from a wide variety of cultural, linguistic, and religious backgrounds.
Address basic interpersonal skills, such as sharing, taking turns, and asking permission in the classroom. Other duties as assigned.
Remains flexible in assisting and accepting responsibility in other daily duties if other staff is not available.
Attends and participates in continuing education/ professional development, staff meetings, center events, and parent/teacher meetings

Physical Requirements
Performing the duties of this job requires a significant amount of lifting, carrying, bending, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent sitting and standing, walking, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and fine finger dexterity. You must be able to lift up to 30 pounds individually or assist in lifting up to 50 pounds or more. Generally the job requires 30% sitting, 50% walking, and 20% standing. This varies and is not the same each day. This job is performed under temperature variations. You may be required to work with the possible exposure to cleaning materials, bodily fluids, blood, tissue, dust and more. Reasonable accommodation will be made for those that need assistance to perform the essential functions.

Job Qualifications Required:

Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be 18 years of age or older
Have at least 320 hours of experience as an assistant child care teacher in a group child care center or other approved early childhood setting
Completion of SIDS prevention and Abusive Head Trauma (AHT) Training
Certified in First Aid & CPR for adults and infants
Completion of Mandatory Reporter Training
Participate in The Registry as a Qualified Lead teacher in a child care setting
Pay will commensurate with the Registry Level and experience.

The employee shall remain free of alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substances in the workplace throughout his/her employment at A Million Dreamz.
Employee must be willing to take a TB test and receive a negative result
Employees must be willing to undergo and pass a Fingerprint Background Check as well.
Employees must be willing to complete a physical with a licensed physician.
