Job Description: Job Description Your Role as a HousekeeperAssisted Living Community Americare Senior Living is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents, team members, and visitors. This role plays a vital part in resident satisfaction, safety, and quality of life. What You'll DoPlan, organize, and follow assigned cleaning schedulesPerform cleaning assignments in resident rooms and common areasEnsure compliance with cleanliness, sanitation, and infection control standardsPrepare resident rooms for new move-ins following dischargeReport maintenance and repair needs to the supervisorMonitor housekeeping inventory and communicate supply needsAssist with plant and flower care as assignedSafely handle cleaning chemicals and ensure proper labeling per OSHA standardsMaintain work carts and equipment in a clean and safe conditionAttend required in-service training and staff meetingsCollaborate with other departments to support smooth daily operationsPhysical DemandsStand, sit, walk, and change positions frequentlyLift up to 25 lbs. and assist with tasks requiring pushing or pulling up to 100 lbs.Crouch, kneel, balance, stoop, and bend as neededSafety RequirementsUtilize required personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves and face protectionUse proper lifting techniques and lumbar support when neededWear non-slip, supportive footwearFollow OSHA standards for hazardous chemicals and SDS guidelinesReport work-related injuries within 12 hours and complete required documentationParticipate in company drug testing proceduresWork Environment This position operates primarily indoors in an Assisted Living community with adequate lighting and ventilation. Occasional interaction with residents during activities or events may occur.
