JOB TITLE: ACCOUNTING MANAGER
Position Summary:
We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join our team! This position plays a key leadership role in overseeing the Accounting & Administrative Department. Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures, preparing financial forecasts, developing and managing budgets, billing/collection management and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting
The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, communicative, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and strong working relationships across departments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant standards.
- Oversee general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and journal entries to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and collections.
- Conduct bank reconciliations, cash flow analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations to maintain precise financial records.
- Mentor and develop accounting staff by providing guidance on technical accounting issues.
- Support internal audits and coordinate external audit processes to uphold transparency and accountability.
- Analyze financial data for forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and strategic planning purposes.
- Handle confidential information with integrity while ensuring compliance with all applicable policies.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Suites
- Skilled in Risk Management (Ability to Identify & Mitigate Risk)
- Strengths with enforcing Team Accountability and KPI Management
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time-management and multitasking abilities
- Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
- Proven experience in accounting management within corporate finance.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor teams effectively while fostering professional development.
- Solid understanding of technical accounting concepts including double entry bookkeeping, accrual accounting, debits & credits, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience handling complex regulatory reporting requirements and managing audit processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial reports accurately for strategic decision-making.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time/ Salary Position
Starting Wage: Competitive salary based on experience, Starting at $70k/yr
Work Location: In person, Office Position
Work Schedule:
- 10 Hours: Monday to Thursday - 7:00 to 6:00pm (1HL)
- 5 Hours: Fridays - 7:00 to 12:00pm (N/A)
Expected hours: 45 to 55 HRS per Wk

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field (Preferred)
Construction Experience: 1 - 2 Years of Construction Exposure
Trade Experience: 3 Years of Accounting or Financial Management
Software Programs: Dropbox, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
