Role Description The Diesel Technician role at E Noa Corporation is an on-site position based in Honolulu, HI. This internship involves assisting with routine inspections and maintenance of diesel-powered vehicles, including buses used for tour operations. Day-to-day tasks include supporting preventive maintenance schedules, helping diagnose basic mechanical issues, performing repairs under supervision, and documenting work performed. The intern may also assist with troubleshooting mechanical or electrical problems, maintaining shop tools and equipment, and ensuring vehicles meet safety and regulatory standards. This role works closely with senior technicians and operations staff to keep the fleet in optimal condition for guest tours.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for diesel-powered vehicles or similar equipment.
Candidates should possess skills in Preventive Maintenance to support scheduled inspections and servicing of fleet vehicles.
Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting to help identify and address mechanical and basic electrical issues.
Candidates should possess skills in Customer Service to interact professionally with team members, drivers, and guests when needed.
Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools and safety practices in an automotive or diesel shop environment.
Ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively in a team setting, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Willingness to work on-site in Honolulu, HI, including in a garage or outdoor setting, and to adhere to company safety standards.
Enrollment in or completion of a vocational, technical, or community college program in diesel technology, automotive technology, or a related field is preferred.
