Job Description: Little Red Wagon Childcare Center is a dedicated early childhood education center committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. This position is a full-time, on-site role based in Randolph, VT. You will plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities, support children's learning through play, and promote social, emotional, and physical growth in a classroom setting. Daily responsibilities include supervising children to ensure safety, maintaining a clean and organized learning environment, observing and documenting developmental progress, and communicating regularly with families and team members. The role involves collaborating with other educators, following center policies and state regulations, and contributing to a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom culture.
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Knowledge of early childhood development and best practices in early childhood education.
Creativity skills and experience working with children to design engaging, age-appropriate activities.
Organization skills to manage classroom routines, materials, documentation, and schedule effectively.
Ability to maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children from diverse backgrounds.
Prior experience in a childcare, preschool, or early childhood setting is highly beneficial.
Relevant education such as coursework or a degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
Compliance with local licensing requirements, including background checks and health clearances as applicable.
CPR/First Aid Certification
