Arlington and Mansfield are on our map, but we don't have enough sitters there. DFW Pet Sitting Services has been caring for North Texas pets since 2003, and we hire sitters as W-2 employees who work close to home. If you live in Arlington or Mansfield, we have clients within a few miles of you.
What you'd be doing
In-home visits for dogs and cats. Owners are at work or traveling, and you stop by for 25 minutes to feed, refresh water, scoop the litter or let the dog out, give medication if the pet is on any, walk when that's part of the routine, and otherwise keep the animals company. It's pet sitting and dog walking together, not a walking-only route.
Two things that make this different from a gig app
You're an employee. Taxes withheld, W-2 at year end, company liability insurance, and we pay for your background check.
You keep your clients. When a household near you books, we offer it to you first and you say yes or no. Once you say yes, they're yours. They come back to you every time they book. If something comes up and you can't make a visit, we find the backup and the client stays with you.
Schedule
We need sitters who can be available mornings, middays, and evenings. You won't work all three daily. Some weeks are three days, some are five, some are one. Middays are where we're shortest and where clients most want consistency.
Pay
$12.50 for a 25-minute visit, which works out to $25 an hour of visit time. That's the floor for one or two pets within 5 miles. Most households have more pets than that, so a typical visit runs $12.50 to about $16, and medication, extra miles, holidays, and same-day requests are added on top. Client meetings and key pickups are paid at the same rate.
